Red Queen
My wife wanted to take me for a burger and an afternoon on a nice day by the Danube one of the two rivers that run through Belgrade and found this delightful patio on the river in the new Waterfront district of Belgrade.
I will have to post a longer summary of the Waterfront as it is controversial but for now, the slums of Belgrade were cleaned out and new high rises and new shops and restaurants now line the bank of the river.
The restaurant is just between Novak Djokovic’s Tennis club and the river with a lovely outdoor space. We had a few drinks to start and then I ordered the American burger, my wife two kinds of crostinis, and my daughter the chicken fingers.
Everything was delightful. The burger was pretty close to home. I really enjoyed it and the french fries. The crostini’s I had little bites were excellent and the fried chicken was one of the best. The service was excellent and we all had a lovely afternoon at the river.
