Restaurant Dunavska terasa
Yes, we are back in Belgrade just in time for it to cool down. What a wonderful day. We had a couple of days of rest, the mother-in-law over, and spent some nights in peace. My wife wanted to take my daughter swimming and found this place not far from the condo.
Dunavska Teresa is a huge resturant complex on the Daube with a dock for swimmers and lots of decks and places to lounge by the river. On a Monday afternoon it was just about empty but they said it was full on the weekend. The girls giggled and swam for about an hour, but when they came out complained the bottom was too mucky. Just mud. You don’t want to go too far from the shore because of the boats and barges that go up and down the river.
After they swam we had dinner. Ella had chicken risotto which was more like chicken and rice but good. We had a fish stew that was spicy with some roasted peppers and a Serbian salad, one of the better salads I have had in a bit.
They have domestic Rakija and the waiter recommends the pear rather than the plum. it was nice and smooth.
Ok, I promise the next post will be the last of the Rakija and were to get it in Belgrade.
